Lower Back Pain

Lower back pain is a very common condition. Usual symptoms that people feel are pain ranging from a dull ache to sharp sensations, potentially radiating down the leg. Limited mobility, ‘feeling stiff and reduced movement’, and muscle spasms which are involuntary contractions that cause discomfort.

Our physiotherapists first assess to find out what the cause is- muscle or ligament stain, herniated disc, arthritis, or other spinal problems like scoliosis. Then we treat using hands on therapy including massage, manual therapy to release joints and movement retraining. This includes working around the pain with exercises and better movement patterns.

The treatment involves lying on a massage or treatment table. This will allow our expert physiotherapists to safely reduce your pain and improve joint and tissue mobility. Our physiotherapists work one on one, with the goal of returning you back to what you love doing most. During our sessions a prevention plan is created for you based on your life and what you are up too currently. This will include a consistent exercise program for your core and leg strength, safe lifting and carrying techniques and other recovery tips like sleep and basic nutrition.

"I’ve been going to Jack for many years with multiple injuries"

Jack is an intelligent Physio with superb knowledge of his work. Specific movement and stretching techniques to isolate and recover or to help improve mobility. Been going to Jack for many years with multiple injuries and I would consider him to be one of the best Physiotherapist I’ve been to.
